This is a march scheduled for March 17th to Avenida da Liberdade (Lisbon), at 4pm.
Developed locally by Leo Burnett – Publicis Groupe and Dentsu, the campaign “shows how all the brand's advertisements are written and designed in the environment of a traditional pub”, according to a report by ECO.
“At Guinness we believe that it is possible to bring together all communities with the contagious spirit of this global celebration, in order to promote conviviality. This is precisely why we invite all Portuguese people with Irish DNA to be present at Avenida da Liberdade, on the 17th, to celebrate”, says Francisco Morais, responsible for the Guinness brand in Portugal.
In total, there will be ten bands – eight Spanish and two Portuguese, with a total of around 200 musicians – responsible for bringing the Irish spirit to Praça do Comércio. Here the groups end the commemorative parade (5pm), which is open to the general public.
