The National Union of Civil Aviation Workers (Sintac) have delivered a strike notice to non-crew workers during overtime, between March 28 and July 30, to demand payment of the agreed salary increases.

"Why have all workers already received the due increases, excluding ground workers? We do not accept excuses combined with a lack of competence or internal capacity to implement the due agreed/negotiated increases and we demand at the very least that the March salary receipt comes now with the career regularised at +6% and +10% respectively in the base salary", Sintac pointed out in a statement.

The union accuses TAP of discrimination between "first and second-class workers" and, therefore, decided to give "pre-notice of strike to all overtime work from March 28, 2024 until July 30".
