In a statement, ASAE said that, as part of an operation carried out through the Southern Regional Unit – Évora Operational Unit, two economic operators with commercial links were inspected, who operated exclusively through social networks.

ASAE also states that during the operation, the sale of cooking oil as extra virgin olive oil with Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) was detected, in flagrante delicto, with the amount of 30 euros being charged for each five-liter package.

According to ASAE, the total value of the seizure amounts to 40 thousand euros.
