Following an alert received at 5pm, by a member of the public who was on the beach, reporting that a young man was experiencing severe pain in his lower limbs after jumping from a cliff into the water, members of the Local command of the Portimão Maritime Police, crew from the Ferragudo Lifeguard Station and members of the Lagoa Volunteer Fire Department.

At the scene, it was found that the victim had been removed from the water by bathers who were on the beach and that he had severe pain in his lower limbs, making it only possible to extract him by sea.

After stabilising the young man, with the support of the lifeguards on duty on the beach, the crew from the Ferragudo Lifeguard Station transported him to the Lifeguard Station pier, where members of the Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle were already waiting from INEM who promptly assisted the victim, who was subsequently transported to a hospital unit by the Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters.
