“The unemployment rate stood at 6.7%, higher than the previous month and three months before”, with an increase of 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) in both and advancing 0.4 p.p. year-on-year.
In June, the unemployed population, of 360.8 thousand, “increased in relation to the three comparison periods: 3.8%, 4.1%, and 8.2%, respectively”, said the INE.
That's a super high unemployment rate in such "prosperous" times.
