Vigo City Council has already begun putting up the lights for their Christmas celebration at the end of the year.

According to the mayor, Abel Caballero, 420 streets and squares in the city will be illuminated and 11.5 million LED lights, 1,259 ornamental arches and 2,674 motifs will be installed, while 2,518 trees will be decorated with light bulbs.
The contract for the project states that work must begin now, as the city doesn’t want a repeat of last year’s deadline delays.
