The Aljezur Chamber highlighted that the project represented a global investment of 1.6 million euros and the infrastructure has “a length of 31.5 kilometres”, divided into two sections, “the ecovia consisting of 26 kilometres, which connects Sagres to the municipality of Aljezur, and the 5.4 kilometre cycle path, which provides a cycling connection between the roundabout of the four roads of Sagres and Cabo de São Vicente”.
The municipality of Vila do Bispo classified the project as “structuring” for the municipality, which now has a sustainable mobility solution that increases the attractiveness of the territory and provides the population with a cycling and pedestrian route, encouraging sports and the well-being of the population.
Now there is the section between Olhão and Faro that has been dragging on for years.
