The UK has proposed the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, aiming to create the first smoke-free generation by gradually raising the legal age for purchasing tobacco, barring anyone born after January 1, 2009, from ever purchasing it.
The bill also limits e-cigarette ads, flavours, displays, and packaging to deter youth appeal.
In addition, there will be an extension of the indoor smoking ban to specific outdoor areas, such as children's playgrounds, outside schools and hospitals.
