The ban had already been instated on certain open spaces like bus stops, but it has now been extended to cover all public areas, including streets, parks and sporting facilities.

The exception to these regulations are public areas where it's possible to maintain a 10 metre distance between people. The ban also does not apply to electronic cigarettes.
