The intervention at the port of Arade, in the municipality of Lagoa, aims to rehabilitate the sewage network and re-establish the functioning of the infrastructures for collecting and transporting domestic wastewater for treatment, Docapesca reported in a statement.

The tender, with a base price of €815 thousand, includes the construction of a new pumping station, the replacement of collectors to redirect the collected sewage and the connection to the municipal network.

According to the authority managing fishing ports and fish markets, the work will guarantee “the efficiency and environmental sustainability of this wastewater system”.

The tender for the project at the port of Sagres, with a base value of 270 thousand euros, includes the external rehabilitation of the fish market, “with the aim of guaranteeing the safety, use and durability conditions of the building”, says Docapesca.

The interventions include the treatment of the reinforcements, the application of structural repair mortar to the reinforced concrete elements and the installation of a new waterproofing and coating system on the building's terrace.

Sagres

According to Docapesca, construction is currently underway in Sagres on a roof over the unloading dock, an investment of 92 thousand euros to improve “the working conditions of professionals in the sector”.
