This functionality allows you to settle amounts in just a few seconds, without the need for ATM references or signing up to identifiers such as Via Verde, according to a report by Postal.
MB Way's adhesion to the toll system brings several benefits:
- Speed and simplicity – Eliminates the need for ATM references and manual top-ups.
- Avoid fines – Payment is immediate, reducing the risk of fines due to lack of regularisation.
- No need to subscribe to additional services – It is not mandatory to have Via Verde or other automatic payment solutions.
- Security – The transaction is made with secure authentication, ensuring that only the account holder can authorise the payment.
How do I activate MB Way to pay tolls?
If you don't have MB Way active yet, follow these steps:
- Activate MB Way at your bank via home banking or at an ATM.
- Download the MB Way app, available for Android and iOS.
- Link your mobile number to your bank account and set a PIN to validate payments.
- With MB Way ready to use, you can start paying your tolls quickly and easily.
Step by step: how to pay tolls with MB Way?
Payment is made through the CTT App, which allows you to check and settle outstanding amounts.
- Open the CTT App and check the tolls associated with your saved plates.
- Select the payment method and choose MB Way.
- Confirm the amount and authorise the transaction in the notification you will receive in the MB Way app.
- After approval, payment is immediate and automatically regularises the toll.
Until CTT charges admin fees for each toll crossed l, sometimes totally more than the toll itself, this isn't really an alternative. You either contribute to Brisa's ViaVerde monopoly or conceed to unreasonable fees from CTT.
