After being sold in specialised stores, gourmet spaces and even large stores, the artisanal chocolate that follows a traditional Middle Eastern recipe is preparing to take another step in its expansion.

Starting this week, consumers will be able to find it in a new type of place — until now, unusual for this type of product: the convenience stores at Galp service stations.

The brand responsible for this sweet, Alyan, continues to focus on being faithful to the original recipe and being handmade, ensuring an experience identical to that offered in the Persian Gulf markets.

This new phase of distribution will cover 86 Galp stores spread across the country, significantly expanding points of contact with the public.

According to the brand, the expansion responds to the strong demand registered in Portugal and aims to facilitate access to the product, even in everyday situations.

The decision to include chocolate in spaces such as petrol stations follows a trend of diversifying the offering in these places, which in recent years have sought to establish themselves as points of sale for differentiated products.
