According to Marketeer, “The 29th edition of SBSR will take place in 2026”, says the brand in a statement, recalling that “as is public knowledge, the festival is changing promoters”.

The 1st edition of SBSR took place in 1995, in Lisbon, and until the 28th edition, last year in Sesimbra, the festival was organised by Música no Coração, promoter of Luís Montez.

In November last year, the promoter revealed to Observador that the partnership between Música no Coração and Super Bock, relating to the music festival, had ended.

Since then, Lusa has questioned the brand several times about the situation, with Super Bock postponing the announcement of any decision about the festival until later.

Super Bock believes that the one-year break at SBSR “will allow the return of an even stronger and more special festival, thus offering a memorable experience to all festival-goers”, and will soon announce more news about the 29th edition.

Since its first edition, the SBSR has been held in several locations. In 1995, it took place at the Alcântara Maritime Station in Lisbon. After that, it took place, among others, at the Algés Promenade in Oeiras, at the Tejo Park and the Parque das Nações, both in Lisbon, and at the Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta, near Meco beach, in Sesimbra.
