At the end of the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, in Lisbon, the Minister of the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, said that, as in the last two weekends, this ban will be applied between 15:00 on Friday and 6:00 am on Monday, with the exceptions provided for by law.
"We do not have an epidemiological situation that allows us to take measures or give any image of less restriction at this time. Therefore, the rule is maintained", justified the Minister of the Presidency.
The Metropolitan Area of Lisbon includes 18 municipalities in Greater Lisbon and the Setúbal Peninsula, namely Alcochete, Almada, Amadora, Barreiro, Cascais, Lisbon, Loures, Mafra, Moita, Montijo, Odivelas, Oeiras, Palmela, Seixal, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Sintra and Vila Franca de Xira.
The Government determined on 1 July that in municipalities with a high (26) or very high (19) risk of incidence of Covid-19, there will be a ban on circulation on public roads, between 23:00 and 05:00.
"What the Government understands is that, at this moment, we do not have conditions to lift restrictive measures. This is not the moment we live in, so the rules are maintained", reiterated Mariana Vieira da Silva.
Last weekend it was possible to enter and leave the AML with a PCR test, done in the last 72 hours, or an antigen test, done in the last 48 hours, as well as with the digital certificate. Self-tests, those that are sold in pharmacies to be carried out by the user, do not serve for this purpose.
