On Thursday, the Council of Ministers announced the ban on movement to and from the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) on weekends, from 15:00 on Friday until 06:00 on Monday.
In a statement, the GNR states that, in order to comply with these measures, it will intensify patrolling, inspection and awareness, “in a flexible way”.
"The inspection aims to ensure that the population complies with the rules in force and refrains from unnecessary travel in an area where the numbers resulting from Covid-19 impose an added concern", he justifies.
The actions will focus on the main access roads to the AML, such as highways 1 (A1) and 2 (A2) and the national roads 5 and 10.
The diploma on the prohibition of entering and leaving the AML provides for some exceptions, such as travel for work, for health reasons or for students (and accompanying minors) for access to schools and leisure activities.
idiotic. the government acts as totalitarian gestapo dictating the movements of the population.
With no regard for their livelihoods.

They fooled people into taking the vaccine and then restrict their movement anyway. You can travel thousands of miles if you are leaving the country but you can't travel to the algarve and back. Pathetic government
