“The vast majority of hospitals have already sent their Christmas and New Year schedules to the Ministry [of Health] and their contingency plans. We have plans and we are prepared for what may come. Let's hope it's for the best, but we have to prepare for the worst”, stated António Lacerda Sales.

António Lacerda Sales also highlighted the importance of mass testing, assuring that “pharmacies are prepared to respond to requests for tests”.

“We have many tests and there will be no difficulties”, he stressed.
