"It is a management of common sense, of wisdom", he told journalists about the use of masks.
Throughout events during the day, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was oscillating between wearing a mask or not using it, either in smaller spaces or in wider spaces.
"There were 140 people, or 150 people, in a space that was large, but despite everything there were many people, and they were all wearing masks. I understand, out of respect for the people who were wearing masks, and as a matter of common sense and precaution, I put on the mask," he said.
He added that those who want further reassurance should take a test.
"Today, even antigen tests are very accessible. If you have doubts about that... I did an antigen test this morning, because yesterday I had some contacts, I went to places where there were a lot of people, some with a mask and others without a mask, and I pre-emptively did that," he reported.
How does this make any sense? If ppl still have the risk-of being infected, infecting others- why not wear the mask in closed spaces so doing these tests won´t be (as) necessary? Reply: because of tourism, we now “relax” rules. The companies doing the tests=big buck. No one cares about public health anymore, nor do they bother to disguise it. I sure would love to ditch the mask (I wore it last year while restrictions were lifted), but I don´t see how that makes any sense. The vaccines failed to do what its creators initially promised, so I don´t see the “Health” logic behind this move at this particular point, I just see the serial repetition of same mistakes.

It is a fact that, to date, there is NO substantive, independently verified and scientific evidence anywhere in the world which proves beyond any reasonable doubt that any of the masks currently in use prevent virus transmission! If anyone has such evidence I'd be interested to see it!!!

Why are Portugal still require a test for arrival in the country both via land, sea and air?
This so called flu virus in Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Iceland, all of Scandinavia does not require vaccination or any test to be allowed to cross the border.
Mexico have from the beginning never asked for tests or vaccines for this or any other flu virus.
Free movement is guaranteed by EU charter and we now have a European Union where half of the member states restrict free movement, the Scandinavian countries and Ireland and UK are no longer classifying this virus as a public health threat, it doesnt make any sense that same virus is no public threat in one EU country but in another it is different.
Time has come for all of the flu measures to be forgotten and sent to historys garbage dump, the lockdowns did not save 1 life it did the reversed effect. The European economy has been damaged for decades and next generation have to pay for all of this with higher taxes and higher living costs.
It is crazy how we in Europe allowed a flu virus to mess up the whole continent and made many people develope mental issues, in Russia nobody talk about covid anymore, but in western Europe the flu agenda continues...
