Over the approximately three months since the beginning of
the sixth wave of the pandemic, between 25 and 26 April, Portugal recorded a
total of 1,363,000 cases and 2,331 deaths associated with Covid-19.
In the last report, experts anticipated that carrying out
these events, without masks or testing, would result in 350,000 direct
infections in the country.
According to the most recent estimates, there were about
242,000 cases of Covid-19 officially registered due to the Festas Populares and
festivals such as Rock in Rio.
“If we add the cases not officially reported, we reach the
number of 340,000”, says the report, produced by Henrique Oliveira, Pedro
Amaral, José Rui Figueira and Ana Serro.
Why are we killing ourselves and making each other sick?
Who are the people in charge of protecting the national health?
This is a terrible waste of resources and MONEY, a drain on our Health System.
Everyone knows the pandemic is STILL HERE! Masks should have been required!
So when the taxes go up to TRY and sustain our Health System and give our brothers and sisters who are Drs. and nurses a break before Autumn when we go inside we just let people do what they want. You know there's no social distancing at a concert or soccer game so why is mask free O.k? Because we're tired of it and pout over it like little kids when we don't get our way? WAKE-UP; it's a friging pandemic. Left to their own devices societies will destroy themselves without accountability; IT'S NOT OVER.
