The second dinner of the series Reach for the
Stars, Green Edition, will take place on 12th September and will feature chef
Carlos Teixeira, from Herdade do Esporão*, who, together with resident chef
João Viegas, from Atlântico restaurant, will present a harmony of seasonal
flavours paired with the unexpected cocktail creations of Javier Caballero,
considered to be one of the most celebrated shakers of our time.
Recognised in 2022 with a Michelin star and the Michelin Green star, Chef
Carlos Teixeira's work focuses on the respect for ingredients, for the nature
and zero waste, using ingredients from an extensive vegetable garden, from own
animal production in his menus. Also practices and commitments undertaken by
the Herdade do Esporão restaurant are composting and zero-waste cooking.
Dedicated to enhancing sustainable practices increasingly visible in
restaurants, the Reach for the Stars Green Editions series has been taking
place in the Atlântico restaurant, where Chef João Viegas welcomes chefs who
share the same vision of favouring the reduction of the environmental footprint
in their work, having seasonal and locally sourced ingredients as protagonists
respecting, this way, the ecosystem of the region where their location is.
The evening begins at the House Bar, at 6:30pm, with cocktails by Galician
Javier Caballero, followed by dinner, at 7:30pm, at the Atlântico restaurant,
where he will participate also in the special menu paired with some of the best
flavours of mixology.
The tasting menu costs 105 euros/pp, with the possibility of wine pairing for

This set of dinners dedicated to "green" cuisine - Reach for the
