“CESP [Union of Trade, Office and Services Workers of
Portugal] and the workers demand an increase in wages, working hours that allow
the reconciliation of personal and family life with professional life and the
end of the precariousness of the sector”, states the union.
Today (30 September) works across the country will be on
strike and, with picket lines in Braga, Porto, Leiria, Santarém, Lisbon and
Algarve. In Aveiro, a demonstration of workers from distribution companies is
scheduled next to the train station, while in Setúbal a demonstration is
planned at Almada Forum.
