Tuesday, October 11 – Let’s Walk from Paderne

An interesting circular walk along the Quarteira river valley passing below Paderne Castle. A fairly easy, no hard climbs and just over 2 hours. 10am start where we will meet in the car park in front of the football stadium in Paderne (GPS 37.175625, -8.204024). As you drive into Paderne from the N395 you first pass the sports complex and then arrive at the football stadium and car park on the right.

Friday, October 14 – Let’s Walk around Funcho Lake

A walk of almost 3 hours through totally unspoilt countryside and along the sides of Funcho lake, moderate with two climbs. 10am start, meet at cafe/restaurant O Gralha in Vale Fuzeiros (GPS 37.253421, -8.345560). From Silves take the road towards Messines and after 9km turn left to Amorosa. Drive through Amorosa on the main road and you will then see a left turn to Vale Fuzeiros. When you come into the village the cafe is 200m along on the right.
