"Banco de Portugal warns that the entity that operates through the profile of the social network Facebook accessible at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063992654281 , is not, on this date, nor has it ever been, qualified to carry out, in Portugal, any financial activity reserved for institutions subject to the supervision of the Bank of Portugal, namely, the granting, intermediation and consultancy of credit", states the BdP.

According to NM, minutes later, in a new statement, the banking supervisor warned that "the entities that operate through the Facebook social network profiles accessible at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100070707615670 and https://www .facebook.com/people/Empr%C3%A9stimo-online/100054348486539/" are also not authorised to exercise activity.

The supervisor recalls that the activity of granting credit "is reserved for entities authorised to exercise it", in accordance with the provisions of the law.
