The declaration of rectification was published in the Diário da República earlier this week and Simão de Sant'Ana, from Abreu Advogados, explained that it "clarifies the content of several norms that, if not rectified, would raise interpretative doubts" and, ultimately lead "to legal solutions different from those contained in the final proposal voted and approved by the Assembly of the Republic".
More rights for couples in de facto union
Parliament has rectified some labour standards, including clarifying that in the event of the death of a person living in a de facto union with a worker, there is the right to 20 days of justified absences and not five.

These woman/man couples should have the same rights as those attributed to couples "legalized" under civil or religious procedures!
