The organisers of the event say, in a press release, that they want to "share and inspire the future of innovation, technology and the business fabric of the region that intends to position itself as the best 'lifestyle' destination in Europe".
The agenda foresees three days of conferences and 'networking' at the Campus da Penha of UAlg, in Faro, says the organisation, which brings together the Chamber of Faro, the University of Algarve, the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development (CCDR), the Business of the Algarve Region, the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs and the Algarve Tourism Board.
The event, open to all interested parties, includes a variety of panels that highlight the importance of technology and innovation to solve the major global challenges of sustainability in areas such as health, energy, oceans, tourism, agriculture and space.
The 2023 edition of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit "reinforces its international position, through panels with the presence of speakers from the United States and several European countries, which will be witnesses that the Algarve already has, in its essence, what is most important for those who want to live with maximum quality", continues the note.
Over the three days of conferences, various networking events will "promote the exchange of experiences among participants and enable partnerships", they conclude.
