The summer event, which aims to “promote wines and the local area”, takes place in Alameda de Santo André, in Guarda, between the 14th and 16th, and has free admission, although participation in some activities is subject to available places.
Promoted by the municipality of Guarda and the Beira Interior Regional Wine Commission, the event proposes the tasting of “Portuguese wines” in parallel with an initiative called “Conversas sobre Vinho”, promoted by three specialists: Rodolfo Tristão, Tiago Macena and Tiago Marques .
The organisers also stressed that the three catering spaces will have proposals that harmonise the relationship "of gastronomy with wine", with two 'show-cooking' sessions taking place, with the 'chefs' Hernâni Ermida (15th at 18:30) and Paulo Cardoso (16th at 7:30 pm).
Entertainment includes, among others, concerts by The Lucky Duckies (on the 14th at 21:30, followed by DJ Pedro Simões, from RFM radio, at 23:00); on the 15th it's the turn of the Mustache Brass Band (15:30) and Jéssica Pina (voice and trumpet), accompanied by Giovanni Barbieri (keyboards) and Eron Gabriel, on drums, at 21:30.
On the last day of Guarda Wine Fest, the highlight is Solaris with the Arrifana singing group, starting at 18:00.
