Speaking to the Lusa agency, commander Elísio Pereira, from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), said that during that period 131 incidents were recorded across the country, of which 51 in Lisbon and 26 in the Porto Metropolitan Area.

“It was a much calmer night. We had 131 incidents across the continent, mainly related to flooding, falling trees and structures. There are no casualties to be recorded nor major damages,” he said.

In a previous report, ANEPC had registered 2,694 incidents due to bad weather until 10pm on Thursday, the majority in the Lisbon region.

ANEPC source highlighted that, between 00:00 and 22:00 on Thursday, the most affected area was the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, with 1,292 occurrences, while the Central region accounted for 490 and Alentejo 430.

The Iberian Peninsula was under the influence of depression Aline on Thursday.
