News24 reports that with the boom in the use of electronic devices to make daily life more convenient there is a challenge in properly disposing of these devices when they reach the end of their life.

According to the e-Waste Association of SA (eWasa), South Africans produce about 6.2kg of electronic waste per person per year, with only about 12% of this being recycled.
