In a report made to Lusa at 09:00, Pedro Araújo, from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), explained that, since the beginning of the bad weather conditions, 609 incidents were recorded, the majority of which were related to fallen trees.
The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region is followed by the North region, with 177 occurrences.
In total, ANEPC recorded 236 tree falls, in 74 situations it was necessary to clean roads to remove debris, and there were 86 floods, mainly on roads, in elevator shafts and basements.
The official also said that no victims were recorded nor was it necessary to relocate anyone.
The official also warned of some instability expected for today, with the forecast of precipitation that could be locally heavy and equally strong sea agitation.
Eleven districts of mainland Portugal are today under yellow warning (the third most serious), due to the forecast of rain according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
