According to forecasts released by ACP - Automóvel Club de Portugal, this involves a drop of three cents in the case of diesel and 1.5 cents per litre in the case of petrol.

If these predictions are confirmed, the average price of diesel should be €1.674/litre while that of straight 95 petrol should be €1.742/litre.

The ACP emphasises that "these forecasts are made based on the assumption of maintenance of the extraordinary tax reduction measures applied by the government, to mitigate the increase in prices".
