“I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am going to vote in advance a week before and I would highly advise many Portuguese people to do so because there is that ‘bridge’ on the 9th”, said the Head of State.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa admitted that “it is possible that many” Portuguese “have things planned” for the weekend of the European elections and therefore, it will be “more difficult” for them to vote on June 9th.
