"The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) is aware that some taxpayers are receiving email messages supposedly coming from AT in which they are asked to click on hyperlinks that are provided", says the authority in a note on the portal.
In the note, AT presents examples of fraudulent notifications in which discrepancies in IRS declarations are highlighted.
"These messages are false and should be ignored", highlights AT, adding that their objective "is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages".
"Under no circumstances should you carry out this operation", warned the entity, which recommended reading the information security leaflet available on the Finance Portal.
