“In May we presented the Construir Portugal strategy, in June and July we signed contracts with the municipal councils, we are now starting to inaugurate and hand over the keys (for affordable housing) and until 2026 we will not stop”, said the minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz.

Insisting that "2026 is absolutely unavoidable", Miguel Pinto Luz assured that the deadline must be met, in a program that foresees the provision of 26,000 homes under the 1st Right and 6,800 homes in the affordable rent modality.
