According to the airline, the service for this winter, which starts in November 2024 and ends in March next year, includes 85 long-haul destinations and 84 short and medium-haul destinations.

In the case of Portugal, a 7% increase is expected compared to the same period last year in the range of services available, with Air France explaining that this increase will affect “services between Lisbon and Paris-CDG and Porto and the company’s hub in France”, in a range complemented by KLM, which is a partner of Air France and will maintain its flights from Lisbon and Porto to the carrier’s hub in Amsterdam-Schiphol.

As for the remaining destinations, Air France has revealed that, on the long-haul route, four new exclusive destinations will be opened, specifically Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), whose flights will continue on the Zanzibar route, with three connections per week, starting on 18 November, on an A350-900 aircraft.

A new route that Air France will open to Salvador da Bahia (Brazil) will also be launched, which will also have three connections per week, starting on 28 October 2024, on an A350-900 aircraft.

Air France highlights that “the former Brazilian capital will be Air France’s 5th destination in Brazil, after Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza and Belém (the latter offered as a continuation from Cayenne, in Guyana)”, and the airline is also planning to increase frequencies on the Rio and Fortaleza routes, which will increase to 10 and 5 flights per week, respectively.

“In total, Air France will offer up to 32 flights per week to/from Brazil, with connecting flights to 40 domestic destinations thanks to a commercial partnership with the Brazilian company GOL”, adds the airline.
