This is organized by the Royal British Club, Lisbon and will take place on board Frigate Dom Fernando II e Glória in Cacilhas, Almada. For more significant events several societies in the community have started to work together, in order to avoid programme clashes and increase attendance. The other societies invited to participate in this annual event include:

• Royal Society of Saint George (RBC oversees the Portugal branch of the RSSG)

• Royal British Legion (Portugal branch)

• Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (Lisbon branch)

• The British Historical Society of Portugal

The event is set to be a sophisticated affair though there will be a splash of fun - outlined below.

We’ll also celebrate a special year in Portuguese history. Dom Fernando II e Glória is the Portuguese Navy’s last surviving frigate. It was built and launched in India and finally set sail for Lisbon in 1844 so it celebrates its 180th anniversary this year.

The frigate has an event capacity of 120 pax.
