Organized annually by the Carlucci American International School of Lisbon (CAISL), this milestone event celebrated three decades of young people working together to promote diplomacy and foster the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Under CAISL’s Model United Nations (MUN) program, students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the structure and function of the United Nations by simulating its activities, offering them an in-depth look at the challenges and collaborative spirit of international relations. Throughout the conference, participants engaged in dynamic debates, stepping into the roles of UN Member States and NGOs, and present solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues.

The IMUN conference replicated the UN General Assembly, ECOSOC, the Human Rights Commission, the Security Council, and a simulation of an Historical Security Council.

This 30th IMUN Conference, entirely student-organized and student-led, exemplifies CAISL’s commitment to promoting diplomatic skills among teens. By empowering young voices to tackle complex challenges collaboratively, IMUN aims to inspire future leaders to pursue peace, respect, and mutual understanding.
