The report also showcased a growing interest towards helping others and making a difference through a career choice in healthcare. The study revealed that half (nine) of the top 20 most searched professions were pharmacists, nurses, midwives, psychologists and paramedics.

Ryan Riley, VP of Marketing for EMEA and APAC at Remitly, shared “It’s fascinating to see such diverse careers featured among the world’s most searched dream jobs. Compared to the data from 2022, we’re seeing a trend where the world’s dream jobs are becoming more corporate and focused on high salaries over other career goals, especially seen with the surge in legal professions. The growing interest in health-related careers is particularly inspiring and could still be an impact of the pandemic causing people to seek out roles that serve their communities. For many, pursuing a dream career may mean moving abroad where there are more jobs available. If that is the goal, I highly recommend plenty of research and making a three-year plan before taking the leap. This will allow you to plan finances better, estimate career growth, and help to ease any nerves when moving abroad.”
