PGE, Poland’s state-owned energy firm and Denmark’s Ørsted have settled on a joint deal to develop the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm, a €7.11 billion investment with a planned capacity of approximately 1.5 gigawatts.

The project is set to finish in 2027 and provide electricity to 2.5 million households, representing nearly 3 percent of the county’s consumption.
Located on the coast of the Baltic Sea between Ustka and Choczewo, the offshore wind farm will feature 107 turbines over an area of 190 square kilometres, each with a capacity of 14 MW.
