In a statement, the Alentejo municipality emphasised that the project is one of the main measures of the Beja Local Housing Strategy, funded through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) under the 1st Right Program - Housing Access Support Program.
The development will feature 15 one-bedroom and 30 three-bedroom apartments, catering to diverse housing needs. The buildings will be arranged into five twinned lots, each comprising nine units distributed across three floors (ground floor, first floor, and second floor).
In addition to residential spaces, the project includes the construction of an underground parking level (-1 floor). Each lot will have nine parking spaces, with one specifically designed for individuals with reduced mobility. Furthermore, two dedicated charging points for electric vehicles will be incorporated into the facility, supporting sustainable transportation.
Spanning 1,925 square meters, the housing complex is strategically located at the intersection of Bairro do Pelame and Quinta D’El Rei. With a total budget of €6,609,994.75, this development represents a significant step towards improving Beja’s housing landscape, making quality rental properties more accessible to residents.
This initiative underscores the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance living conditions and support sustainable urban development, ensuring that Beja remains a welcoming place for its growing population.
