In a recent interview, a source from the National Republican Guard (GNR) had said that "a man was stabbed by another, who fled," and that police authorities were trying to locate the attacker.

A source from the Évora CDOS indicated that the fatal victim is a 54-year-old man and that death was declared on the spot.

The same source specified that the body was found in a house located on Rua Tomáz D'el Negro, and the alert was given at 6:17pm.

The case is now under the jurisdiction of the Judicial Police.
