“Seventeen will be distributed among the parishes, even those that have become the union of parishes”, declared Catarina Silva, who is responsible for Civil Protection and Security, adding that the locations “are not yet defined”.

The rest will stay in the city of Pombal, in Largo do Cardal, next to the schools and sports area.

“Technology changes so much over time that it's also important, maybe three years from now, to evaluate it. And there may be a need for reinforcement, there may be a need for some adjustment, there may be new equipment that is even easier to transport from one location to another, and that is why we made this option”, she justified.

The mayor said that she believes that in the first half of the year the AED network in the municipality will be operational.
