The Lisbon City Council have stated that the Altice Arena pavilion will have extended opening hours from Thursday, 1 July 1, starting to operate on an appointment basis until 7pm and on a first come first served basis from 7pm until 9pm.
The vaccination centres of Sapadores (Graça), the municipality's Social Services (Afonso Costa) and Picadeiro da Escola Politécnica will also have a new schedule starting on Thursday. These centres will work from 9am to 9pm.
About a week ago, Lisbon City Council announced in a note sent to newsrooms that, from 1 July, the city's vaccination centres would be open from 8am to 10pm, including weekends.
In the statement, the City Council of Lisbon indicates that, in the last week, 46,174 vaccines against Covid-19 were given in vaccination centres in the capital.
“The expansion of the availability of vaccination centres and the opening of unmarked schedules for people over 50 years of age is intended to respond to the foreseeable increase in the rate of vaccination to up to 65 thousand doses per week in the municipality of Lisbon”, explains the municipality.
