According to a report by ECO, Nos – the market leader in Portugal – have said that price increases will have to be passed on in part to consumers, through a “small adjustment” in the price of popcorn, said the director of Cinemas Nos, Nuno Aguiar.

For now, the company has ruled out any change in ticket prices.

“In terms of the ticket price, I don't see any pressure to make any kind of change, especially because that later is counterintuitive in relation to the strategy of attracting people back to the cinema and, therefore, would not make sense”, said Nuno Aguiar.
