An alert about fraudulent messages allegedly coming from the
Tax and Customs Authority (AT) to regularise the tax situation of taxpayers has
been published on the Finance Portal, making this the second warning in less
than two weeks.
The Tax Authorities explains that it is aware that some
taxpayers are receiving emails supposedly from the AT, in which they are asked
to click on a link that is provided for possible regularisation of their tax
situation.
"These messages are false and should be ignored. Their
objective is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages by clicking on
the suggested links. Under no circumstances should you carry out this
operation", explains the AT.
Another notice was published less than two weeks ago by the
Tax Authorities, also warning about fraudulent e-mails, allegedly from AT, in
which recipients were asked to click on a link to receive an alleged tax
refund.
