Two planes came to the aid of the British airline's Boeing 737 in order to force the plane to land, reports the Daily Mail.

The flight, bound for Manchester, turned around and landed at Stansted Airport, where it was parked away from the terminals.

According to airline sources, the flight was escorted to a safe landing place following a "bomb threat made to the aircraft".

So far, Jet2 has not made any statements nor have further details been released about the possible attack.
