With Fernando Santos being relieved of his duties as coach
of the Portuguese national football team, many are now linking the special one
to the top job.

José Mourinho is seen as the favourite to succeed Santos and according to Marca, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and Mourinho are due to meet in person, next Monday.
The paper reports that the major obstacle to the position could be linked to the fact that Mourinho has a contract with AS Roma until 2024.
