According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the unemployed population stood at 326.7 thousand people in August, which represents a decrease compared to the previous month (2.5%) and three months before (3.4%), but an increase of 3.9% compared to the same month last year.

The labour underutilisation rate stood at 11.5%, lower than that of the previous month (0.1 percentage points) and three months before (0.2 percentage points) and equal to that of August 2022.
