“CUF today took another step in the expansion and consolidation of its national healthcare network”, announcing the new CUF hospital, in Covilhã, which extends “access to the CUF network to two more districts - Castelo Branco and Guarda”, according to Lusa.
The project, in partnership with the Forumlar business group, will “make available, to an area of influence of around 280 thousand inhabitants, a comprehensive and differentiated clinical offer”, and “the new hospital unit, with an investment of 35 million of euros, will have an area of more than eight thousand m2, divided over three floors of care activity, and will have 27 inpatient beds, including an Intermediate Care Unit, two Operating Room rooms and 34 consultation offices”.
The hospital will also have “a comprehensive range of medical and technical specialties”.
“Scheduled for completion in 2027, the CUF Covilhã Hospital will create more than 200 jobs and will be located close to the city’s Sports Complex,” the group concluded.
