Portugal de Norte a Sul blog shared a list of the 10 most expensive cities in Portugal, based on house prices per square metre.
Six cities in the Algarve are part of this list, in which Lisbon appears at the top, with an average price per square metre of houses in the capital exceeding 2,000 euros. Cascais, Oeiras and Funchal are also some of the most expensive cities to live in, with the north of the country being one of the most affordable areas to live in.
Loulé is the third most expensive in the country, after Lisbon and Cascais. A square metre in Loulé costs 1,644 euros.
Lagos is the fourth most expensive city in the country. A square metre costs, on average, 1,550 euros.
In sixth place in this table is Albufeira, followed by Lagoa (7th), Tavira (8th) and Vila do Bispo (10th).
