The barometer shows that, between May 29th and June 4th, 45% of respondents were satisfied with the fact that the Government had chosen Alcochete to host the new airport, while 30% were against it.

However, the topic generated indecision, considering that 24.7% of respondents did not know what to say or did not answer the question.

The new bridge over the Tagus also gathers support and, on this issue, the percentage is higher. When asked whether they thought it was good or bad to build the new bridge, 52.3% responded that they agreed and 31.3% disagreed. There were 16.4% of respondents who did not know what to say or did not want to answer.

In May the Government, led by Luís Montenegro, announced that the new airport in the Lisbon region will be built at Campo de Tiro de Alcochete, following the recommendation of the Independent Technical Commission (CTI). It will be called Luís de Camões Airport.

At the same time, the Executive announced the construction of a new bridge that will span the Third Tagus Crossing (TTT) in Lisbon, between Chelas and Barreiro, and the bridge will be both rail and road.
