According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the highest temperatures are expected to be recorded in Alentejo, with 41ºC in the districts of Beja and Évora. Santarém will also reach 41ºC, and the Castelo Branco district should reach 40ºC. But the high temperatures will not be limited to the South, as the district of Braga is also expected to reach a maximum of 40ºC.
Also for those on holiday in the Algarve, temperatures will be 'better' than in recent weeks, as Faro is expected to reach 37ºC. It will be in Sines that the maximum temperatures will be lowest on the continent - although 29ºC is expected. In the capital, expect to feel 36ºC, one degree more than in Porto, where 35ºC should be recorded.
Despite the high temperatures expected in Braga, colder nights are expected there, as minimum temperatures are expected to reach 18ºC - the same as in Viana do Castelo.
